Happy Birthday, Lainey

Has it already been a year?! I cannot believe that today my sweet, stubborn, perfect baby girl turns one.

 The day you were born, sweet Lainey, was the best day of my life. I have always been the type to be on the search for what I'm supposed to be doing and you have given me purpose.

At this moment, I'm watching you blow kisses to your reflection in the entertainment center and I can't help but feel so grateful that I get to spend my days with you.

You are growing so quickly, learning to walk and talk, you wave, clap, dance, blow kisses and you finally leave your headbands in your hair! You took your first steps about a two weeks ago and just two days before your birthday, you really took off! You are still unsure of yourself but are building confidence everyday.

You are the sweetest girl.  You are so smart. You love your daddy like crazy and get so excited to see him. You enjoy gymnastics even when you get overwhelmed, you still have fun. You love your wagon and going for walks with the dogs...who you also love. You are a wonderful eater and will try anything twice.You think you can get out of trouble by giving us kisses, and you usually do. You are still a terrible sleeper and need to be ontop of mommy all the time. And I love all of this. It's what makes you my sweet little bug and I wouldn't change a thing.

I am so proud to be your mommy and I hope that as you grow, you are proud to be my daughter. Every day is better because you are here.
