The Mother of ALL Giveaways!
Move over Oprah, there's a new giver in town! Fantabulously Frugal is giving away an Oprah-ish, Favorite Things box of amazingness. Yes, I realized I just made up almost every word in that sentence but there is no other way to describe it! Check out all of the great things she's giving away. But don't worry about entering, I'll take of that part! And if you do enter, be sure to say you heard about her giveaway on my blog! If you don't, I'll hunt you down!
Moving On...
Today I begin my job full time! My last day at the magazine was yesterday and I'm hoping that I'll enjoy this position as much. I'm thinking about beginning to freelance a bit but I'm not exactly sure how to go about it. I know at some point I will need to set up an online clipbook -- not sure how to go about that either -- and start sending out inquiries.
This weekend I'll be in Texas for a wedding and the next I head to MS to see my honey. I'm so excited. It will have been three weeks! I know for most of you three weeks is a cake walk, but it's been rough.
I went back to the Dr. yesterday and got all kinds of medicine, hopefully I'll finally kick all of these infections. It's exhausting!
Do you guys watch the Real Housewives of New Jersey? Because I absolutely love Teresa and the way she flipped the table at dinner. HYSTERICAL! Seriously, I love her. She's so funny.
Have a great weekend ladies!

And The Winner Is...
Princess Freckles! I've finally done the drawing! I wanted to post a video of me doing it but didn't exactly get around to it because, you know, I forgot my camera cord in MISSISSIPPI! Of course! So, you'll just have to trust me ;)
Congrats Princess Freckles! I hope you are going somewhere tropical on your honeymoon because this purse would make a cute little beach bag! I'll email you to get your details.
So, yesterday I put in my notice at the magazine. Sad day. I absolutely love it there and am beyond grateful to all of the opportunities they have given me. If I were a millionaire, I'd totally stay. But I'm not. And I just bought a house so I definitely need the money!
Couple of nights ago I had a dinner date with everyone's favorite blogger, otherwise known as my college roommate or Casey...Whatever you want to call her. It was a great night of catching up, reminiscing and the most juiciest gossip every!
In other good news...the husband moves back August 7! I'm beyond thrilled! We move into the house August 1 and I get my honey back a week later! I can't wait! He'll be super busy studying for a professional exam but I'll be so glad to have him back in Texas. Moving away kinda reminds me of something my brother did when he was really young. When he was in kindergarten they were learning the song Deep in the Heart of Texas. Of Texas, remind you. He would go around the house singing "The stars at night, are big and bright...Deep in your heart IS Texas!" It's funny to think about, but it's so true. Deep in my heart is Texas!

The Pain is Unreal...
Ok, ok. I admit. I suck at blogging and should be banned from all connection to the blogosphere from now on. But I have an excuse: KIDNEY STONES! It was awful! This wasn't my first go round with the stones but it was my first attempt at passing them. One night I woke up with crazy-intense pain in my back. So bad I took someone else's pain medicine. I went to work the next day but felt better so I didn't think anything. That night was up all night in pain. So, I did what any normal person would have done after the first night and went to the doctor. It took me almost a week to pass the stone and it was completely unbearable. It was so bad that my husband bought me Bride Wars, Dirty Dancing - The Anniversary Edition, The Notebook and Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist.
So, I finally passed the pesky stone only to find out that I had a kidney infection. I have literally been in pain for 3 weeks. So, I'm back to the doctor tomorrow (seriously, I think I've been to the doctor more in the last three weeks than in the last year).
However, with all that said, I am back -- or attempting to be. I finally landed a full time job! I'm so excited! I'll be a feature writer at the local paper. Though I would love to stay at the magazine, it's definitely a step up!
And I know I need to do my drawing still...I'm on it! So sorry about the delay. Trust me, I didn't plan for the stones!
