California Dreaming

As I mentioned in a previous post, we have cancelled our trip to Europe but still really wanted to do something vaca wise before the baby makes *its* grand arrival in October. I have a friend of mine getting married at the end of the month in Temecula so B and I will be heading to California for a week! I'm so excited...We leave in just a few weeks and I'm so thrilled.

Luckily for me, I don't have to worry about loosing weight to get into my bathing suit this summer! Unluckily for me, I do have to worry about if I will look pregnant or just chubby by this point. This week, I've actually lost 2 pounds so I'm really hoping for pregnant...I'm trying to avoid the chubster look as much as possible!

We don't have too much planned, other than beach time and the wedding but here are a few things I DO want to see while there::

This is La Jolla, it's near San Diego and I really want to visit. I'm not sure if it's a beach or a cove but I've heard great things about it.

I also really want to see these guys! For some reason, when I think San Diego, this is what I imagine.

B wants to surf while we are there so I plan to lay on the beach, under an umbrella of coarse, with a good book!

So, has anyone been to the area? What are some your favorite places/things to do?

No sex for a year!!!

Friday I had a baby check up appointment with my new doctor. I really like her more every visit. And so does B. While at the appointment I presented her with a list of questions that I had written out like I do prior to every appointment.

I mentioned to her that a very good friend of mine has a son nearing 2 years and she told me that after he was born, it was nearly a year before she could comfortably have sex again. I simply asked if this was normal.

Her exact response:

"The vagina was made for the penis. If you can't have sex comfortably, there is something wrong and you need to come in."

Oh. My. Goodness! I laughed so hard I was in tears. It's obviously the most uncomfortable place in the world, and I swear that was the most awkward conversation!! B thought it was so funny and as we left the drs office, he said to me, "Man, I knew I liked her!"

Oh goodness.

I also wanted to share this with you all. One of the ladies at church gave me this slip of paper on Sunday morning at church. It was a perfect little God wink.
