Great Times, Old Friends

Today I'm sitting at Best Friend's apartment in Dallas awaiting our flight to New York. Last night was such a great night, I can't even explain to you how great it was. When I first went off to college I went to a private, very small, Baptist college. I was only there for two year before I transferred and graduated from Sam Houston State. While I was at UMHB I made some really great friends that I wish I had done a better job of keeping up with.

Last night Best Friend and I went to Johnny Carinos to meet up some of those friends. M & A, who were possibly the two greatest people ever. Don't get the wrong impression, I'm not a guys girl and most of my good friends are girls but M was one my best friends our freshman year. He was such a good friend to me at a time when I needed one. A and I got to know each other later in our freshman year when she and M started dating. She one of those girls you just love because she so stunningly beautiful but doens't have a clue that she is. She showed up rockin' a pair of jeans and a top and looked amazing. And she's one of those people who when she asks how you've been, you know she really wants to know. By the way, she's an amazing photographer. Check out her
blog and if you're in Dallas, give her a call. She does weddings, kids, senior photos, anything! I couldn't go to their wedding because I had summer finals that week so the last time I had seen them was 5 years ago! Crazy, no? It was fun because I was trying to talk A into joining us on our girls trip to NY, she so wanted to go but couldn't go because she has a shoot this weekend. And I know KBiggs would have LOVED for me to show up with her! So, here are a few pictures from last night.

M, A and me!

Best Friend, Me and A
I think it's crazy how we get older and grow up and we don't keep in touch as much with people who have meant so much to us. So, hopefully it'll be less than five years before I see these two again!
We are still on the house hunt! I looked at a few houses yesterday but didn't find one. I did narrow down some choices to let the realtor know exaclty what I'm looking for. Do you think it's crazy that B and I are trying to find a house that's good for entertaining? We love to have people over and we actually passed on an amazing townhouse because guests would have to park nearly 2 blocks away and walk. So, I've found 12 more houses! I'm going to drive by and check out the neighborhoods on Tuesday and then meet with the realtor to see the ones that I like from the outside on Wednesday. So, wish us luck!!
By the way, off to NY tomorrow so I won't be posting again until Monday night or Tuesday. Don't forget to blog about my giveaway and let all your friends know! I actually hope to get another giveaway while I'm in NY!!!

Mutt Monday & Post 100 GIVEAWAY!

Well, well. After almost giving up on blogging, more than once, here I am at Post #100! I'm so excited! For this post, Casey gave me a new blog background (if you are interested, check out her site) and I'm hosting my FIRST GIVEAWAY! It's sort of a random mix of "stuff" that I picked up in New Orleans.
Included in the giveaway is a complete set of bath goodies from Bliss that bribed the maid to give me extra. You weren't gettin' my stash! Also, a Rebuild NO hat from the Hard Rock Cafe. The giveaway was going to be something uniquly New Orleans but when I went into the gift store, I left with this oh-so-cute and summery wicker purse.

You can be entered up to three times and you get one entry for each of the following:

1.) Leave me a comment on this post or a future post specifically about the giveaway.
2.) Blog about this giveaway and/or my blog (and let me know).
3.) Become a follwer of my blog (if you already are one, just let me know).

I will draw the winner on Friday, May 22 and post a video of me drawing -- this way you will see how honest I am :)

I'm a little late in the day, but I wanted to join Jordan over at Two Dogs, A Girl and a Husband's Grace for Mutt Monday. So, please see my adorable furbabies below and comment on how much you love them!

This is Macee knocked out after playing with her ball. However, she still wouldn't part with it. And this is my Jaci. Just, ya know, chillin at the pool.

So Hard Core!

Guess who's on Level 2 of the Shred? That would be me! And Oh. My. God. is it hard! So much harder than Level 1...I also bought the Jillian workout for the Wii. Not sure if I'll be able to start it yet...
