Little Gymnast

Stay at home mommies, what do you do with your little ones to occupy their day? I feel lucky that I get to spend so much time with Lainey and I want to make it worth it. I want to spend quality time together where she feels encouraged, taught and active!

I need help!!!!

I have been on the hunt for something active for the little to do during the day. We can only go to the aquarium so often, ya know.

Everyone raves about Gymboree but I couldn't find one in my area but I found something similar, The Little Gym. It is stinkin' cute and my darlin' girl loves, loves, loves it!

She had her first class on Wednesday, it's a mommy and me class. The teacher was so sweet and Lainey got to do all kinds of fun stuff I never let her do at home.

Ready for class!

Waiting her turn to flip!

Climbing fun!

Uneven bars. Yep, my kid is awesome. She loved it!

Bells!

And...taking her first flip!

We loved the class! She is now registered and enrolled to officially begin next Wednesday. Today, we are headed out to find some cute gymnastics clothes. She has to dress the part, after all!

Also, start sharing my blog NOW! I have lots of fun giveaways coming up, the first one will be Monday. I will also be selling some awesome jewelry from the jewelry company I joined a few months ago.

Costa Rica Part 2

Wow, already falling of the bloggin' wagon. Life has not been kind to C family lately so we could definitely use some prayers, good karma, good vibes, thoughts...whatever you believe in, send the positive our way! We have some major health scares going on right now and, to be honest, I kind of feel like I'm living in a world of distraction and hangin' on by a thin, thin thread.

But, as promised, here is MY part of the Costa Rican vacation.

This is so blurry but we stayed at the JW Marriott in Los Suenos...BEAUTIFUL!

These fools were everywhere. I was the freaked out girl who kept screaming. Ugh, I hate that girl.

Mommy's bathing beauty!

Me and my sweet girl

This swim suit from Gap was awesome! It is long sleeves and has a hoodie. Perfect for the hot, hot sun.

My giant, $5 Pepsi.

Sweet husband got mad at me for taking this picture but I had to. She HATES the beach! She was so upset, not because I put her in there, but because there was sand on her hands....She is her mother's child...
Surfin' hubby

And this is the reason I came to CR. These guys were so close to us, it was incredible!

When all else fails...curtains are always entertaining.
Thanks for stopping by! I have lots of exciting stuff coming up in about 2-3 weeks! I'm working on a new design and have some pretty awesome giveaways! Get excited and start telling your friends!

Purpose

What is your purpose in life?

All my life I have wanted to move to New York and write. It's been my dream since I got my first subscription to Tiger Beat in third grade.

Would I still do it? In. A. Heartbeat.

Is it my purpose in life? Absolutely not.

Losing our second child has put so much into perspective me for. So much of my identity is wrapped up in being a mom that, after just one year of being one, I don't know what else I would do with my life.

This is my purpose. To make this child happy. To raise her to be a kind human being.

Before I lost the baby I often thought about going back to work, starting my own business and finding ways to be busy outside of the home. Now, it breaks my heart to be away from Lainey for a few hours. She is my world. In her, I find so much purpose, solace, comfort and love. I find my identity. It's as if, after 28 years, I'm finally the person I am supposed to be. I feel so much more comfortable in my own skin.

It's a strange thing when your world is wrapped in something so helpless. I only hope that I can give her a piece of the happiness she has given me.

And hopefully one day, I will make her a big sister.

Costa Rica, Part 1

Have you been to Costa Rica? I have to admit, I wasn't blown away. It was incredibly expensive and not near as pretty as Hawaii. However, that said, we had a great time. We love vacation and enjoy any trip!

We spent the first part of the trip at The Lost Iguana in Arenal, near the volcano. It was so lush!

The flowers were incredible!

The heated pool at our awesome resort.

I loved that there were random streams everywhere

This was a river that we crossed anytime we left the resort property. It was odd, people would line up all down the bridge and come to look at it. We couldn't figure out why but we thought it was worth a photo.

This was the entrance to the hot springs

This was at the suspension bridges...before it started...

this was during.

and this was me pretending I didn't hate every second of it.

family pic before we headed off to Mommy's part of the vacation!

This was a Dutch restaurant and hote.

And this was on the Dutch restaurant and hotel's property. They were so cute!

Hope you enjoy! This part of the vacation was definitely an adventure. I wasn't crazy about it but I don't like adventure. Yes, I know that I am boring but I prefer pretty beaches, cocktails and shopping to snakes, bugs and seclusion.

Tomorrow...my part of the vacation!
