What to do....Can you help?

First of all...I forgot to update you all on the two mean old ladies! I went to see them again last Friday and they were so nice! Ok, not so nice, but this time I didn't get called stupid! They are just snotty old rich ladies who think I'm way beneath them. They are interior designers so I told them that B and I were remodeling our house. It was strange how nice they were after that....Hmm...

So lately I've been really trying to consider where I want my life (career-wise) to go. Being that I'm stuck in Houston indefinitely, I have very limited opportunity to do what I want. So, I'm trying to make the best of it. As of now, I can't really quit my job to pursue anything freelance. We need me to work. Plus, I really want a new car!

So, here is where you guys come in...I know quite a few of you are going back to. What for? How did you decide what you really want to do? What do you do for a living? (I know these are kinda personal questions, so you can be vague. I would just appreciate your thoughts.)

I have thought about going back for several things...A Masters in Journalism or Communications. But I'm not really sure what good that would do me. I've actually even thought about going back to nursing school. I have a friend who is a nurse and makes a great living and has a wonderful schedule. Plus, I'm borderline obsessed with anything like that. I've also thought about getting certified to be a trainer. However, I'm pretty out of shape at the moment...

I'm in a really good job for going back to school. They don't offer tuition reimbursement but I do have a really flexible schedule and a lot of down time at work.

This weekend I'm going to try to get some paint on a few of the walls. My end tables that came in last weekend were not the right ones so I get the replacements on Sunday. Also, one of the chairs I got from Pier One is broken so I am getting a replacement for that this weekend as well. Busy, Busy weekend!!!

Happy Friday, lovelies!

Well, I've been looking for a job, but I was all over the place. I think I would enjoy doing so many things, however that makes the search infinitely harder. So yesterday I decided to pick one and go after it with everything!! Even if it isn't perfect, I'll work through it.

If you don't mind doing all the yucky (fecal) stuff that goes along with nursing, I think that would be a great idea. It's pretty safe, in that we'll always need nurses, even more so with the Baby Boomers growing up. And it's really rewarding!!

When I was first deciding what to do, I looked around at all the jobs I thought interesting and then found people who actually worked them to see if they enjoyed it.

Well...it is hard to suggest a job for someone (esp. since I am a new bloggy friend and hardly know you...) but ill try my best to give some advice. Do something you truly find a passion for...look into each thing that you thought about and see if jobs are available, how much schooling you need, and if the schedule will fit your lifestyle. I know a couple of nurses and they love their jobs...so if that is something that interests you...maybe look into that!
Good luck with everything! I look forward to reading more! :)
