The Big Easy

Whew! What a weekend this turned out to be! I was supposed to stay in Houston for a gala but found out that I didn't have to go, so, I loaded up the fur babies and went to Mississippi to see my honey. Friday I was playing on the computer when he called said, "Guess what?! I get to leave work at noon and I'm off Saturday and Sunday!" I was beyond thrilled! You see, my husband is a pipeline engineer and he's working on a construction project now and if you know anyone in construction, they work 7 days a week, 10 hours a day. So, I was so excited to have him all to myself this weekend!

We decided to take a little trip to New Orleans! My first time! We stayed at the W French Quarter and I would highly recommend it anyone, especially if you have pets! They offer dog walking, dog sitting, pet beds and they dogs are welcome at the pool! They even bring your dog water and treats! It's amazing! So, here are a few pictures of the weekend!

This guy called him self 24 and said that taking pictures with tourists is how he makes his 5's. I gave him $2...

Cheer'sing to Vacation! We learned that from my grandparents. And can I just say, if you ever go to NOLA, stay away from the Grenade. I had one and lets just say, I learned I can't party like I could in college...

We also did a little shopping at French Connection. Seriously, if I could only shop at one place for the rest of my life, I'd be fine if that one place was French Connection! I purchased a few things but the hubs really scored! I was glad because he got a few pieces I've been trying to get him to buy for a while. Here is one of my purchases...I couldn't find the skirt or two tops that I bought. I'll have to take a picture and post that. Tomorrow, I start the Shred! I'm so nervous!

I hope you all had a great weekend! Be sure to keep checking back on my blog this week! I have a new look and an announcement coming up for my 100th post!

XOXO,
Stevy
Oh. My. GOSH. I completely forgot to tell a crazy story. Saturday Bobby and I were hanging out at the pool with the dogs when these three girls come and ask if they can share our table and sit on the couch across from us (the set up was pretty cool, kinda like a lounge bar). Of course, we say yes. Two of the girls were "married" and the third girl was the "husband's" sister. We were chatting it up for about 20 minutes about our dogs, where we lived (they were from NOLA), college, family and the list goes on. The "husband" tells us that her sister came to visit from college and they were so glad to have her but that "parking was a nightmare for her and she had to call and ask her mom if her car would fit into a parking spot near Bourbon Street." The younger sister literally broke down in tears! Right there on the plush white couch, tears streaming and the hiccups were approcahing. It was insane! She stood up and said, "How could you tell them that!?" And she walked off. The "wife" went after her and then came back to make the "husband" and she stayed for a second. She was telling us that the girl was a junior in college, had never been kissed and is so shy and anxious that she constantly breaks down in public. She apologized and went to go sit with the other two girls at another nearby couch where the girl proceeded to cry, no joke, for about 45 minutes. Let me rephrase that, she continued to sob. Out loud. Almost violently. It was so sad and was quite possibly one of the craziest things I have ever seen...And your life would not have been complete had I not added this story to my blog...

Sounds like such a fun trip (except for crazy crying girl of course)! And I love the dress. I have never been to FC, do they have one in Houston?

I do love visiting NOLA, although I'd never want to live there. What a sad story about that girl! I can't imagine just crying in front of people like that!

Glad you had fun! The crying girl sounds very odd, but it's quite a story! I love NOLA!

OMG! The Grenade kicks my butt every time I go to NOLA. But I can never resist that cute little grenade hanging around outside the door! How great of a costume would that be for halloween?
