Will this week ever end?! I'm having pre-election jitters!

This has really been a ridiculously crazy week! We have been so busy at work that I hardly have time to look up from the stacks of work building up on my desk! Unfortunately, the stupid project manager for our job has decided that we cannot hire any extra help. We are being punished because HE is over-budget. Thanks alot, Jerkface!

Last night I had a minor panic attack as my pre-election jitters set in. I laid awake for hours thinking about what would happen if that free-loading-lover Obama got in office. I just have to say, I moved from Houston to work in a tiny, crappy little town (not Shreveport) and I work 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day, M-F and half a day on Saturday. Why, you ask. To make money. Granted, my husband and I make really good money, but I do not feel like I should have to pay for some hippie who is too lazy to get a job to live. Call it selfish, whatever, I don't care! I just feel like people should do what they have to in order to take care of themselves and their families! We do not need a bigger government with their Big Brother hands and eyes on every move Americans make. I'm so not for the "Change" that Barak wants to bring about and I don't get why we should give people on government assistance, more assistance! Granted, there are issues I disagree with McCain about. But, I'm pretty sure unless I were president, I'm always gonna disagree some with whoever the candidate is. I'm all for a Capitalist way of life, not a Socialist. This is America, after all.

In other sad news. If you've been reading for a while, you'll know I have a 3-month-old nephew. He's having liver problems and they are STILL unsure of what's wrong. They are thinking it's something genetic -- which has my poor sister a wreck! He is progressing, though they have no idea what's wrong, why he's getting better or how he is getting better. Please continue to pray for them. It's killing me being away!

Ok, enough with being a grump! Since I haven't been on in a few days, I found out today that I won a giveaway that Mojito Maven had! I'm so excited! Check out her oh-so-cute blog! I will definitely be posting pictures when I receive it! Thanks so much Mojito Maven!

Butterflies in my tummy...

Ok, so, my wonderful husband is trying to get my best friend (we'll call her G) a job here in our office! I'm so nervous to see if she get it! It will be great for her because she will make lots of money and great for me because it will make my job suck so much less!

There are three people who will make the decision, my husband being one and my boss being another. Obviously, G's got the Hub's vote, and he's mostly got my boss convinced as well. Now, it's just the big boss who will have final say! Say a little prayer for us! This could really be a great opportunity for her!

Good Luck G! I love you!!

Best Weekend Ever!

First of all, I have to say Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband! He turns 29-years-old today! We spent the entire weekend celebrating!

Friday night his cousin and her husband came in to join in the festivities. They got in a little late so we just hung out at the house. Saturday, though, was the best day! We ate lunch at a place called The Blind Tiger -- if you are ever in Shreveport, you MUST eat there! After lunch we went and played around at the casinos. For her birthday, I took Bobby's cousin to the spa! It was so perfect! We had manicures, pedicures, facials and a massage! Seriously, that is what Heaven must be like!

After our mini-spa day, we went home to get dressed and it was on to dinner at a place called Ernest's New Orleans Restaurant. This is another place you MUST eat when visiting Shreveport! The food was delicious and it's a great little date place. They even had a cake for Bobby and his cousin.
Now, some crazy awesome news! After dinner, we decided to go to the CMT Crossroads bar and guess who I met?! KIX BROOKS FROM BROOKS AND DUNN! It was really fun! He even played a few songs with the house band.
Sunday, we continued to celebrate the Hubs birthday by going shopping. I'm pretty sure he bought out the Gap and I bought out Banana Republic. However, I now know what size I wear at Banana so it's on! I spent more than three times the amount of money he did so I joked with him that he got a well-dressed wife for his B-Day! I was super excited that I could buy a dress off the rack in a size that fit my bottom half AND top half without having it altered. Before the BR, I would have to buy a huge size dress and have the waist taken in. Not now! Gotta love plastic surgery! So, here are a few of my Banana finds:
