Thursday we closed on our house! It was a pretty painless experience. It took us about an hour and a half. Our realtor was probably the worst realtor ever! For one, she showed up with everything but I think she may have forgotten her stripper pole at home. The girl was wearing a SUPER tight black shirt and a silky SUPER tight black skirt that laced up the back! And...she brought her boyfriend! I'm thinking about bringing Bobby to work with me from now on....what do you think?
Friday I headed back to my padre's house to pack our things up and we moved in on Sunday. B had to head to Mississippi to pick up the U-Haul that had everything else in it and we've been moving ever since.
I'm absolutely loving being in the house. I've already tested out my pool and hot tub and love them! We finally got almost everything unpacked and I'm going to start looking for sitting room furniture here in the next couple of weeks. I'm thinking about buying white couches...what do you think? Have you ever had white furniture? Pros and cons? I need help! But i have this sort of theme that I want. I love the shabby chic look and what to convey that in our sitting room.
There are a few upgrades we want to make to the house. For instance EVERY room in the house (except for the den) needs new paint. The people who lived there before were old and have wallpaper in the kitchen and bathrooms that needs to go. Also, we are going to remodel our bathroom and kitchen. It's a small price to pay for our dream house!
Last night the Comcast team showed up and did a terrible job! I'm known to call the BBB at late hours of the night to file a complaint when my heels break, but I've never called a company to file a formal complaint like I will do today. The guy showed up and didn't know how to install wireless Internet (which is what we asked for), he didn't activate our extended cable channels like Showtime and Cinemax (which we asked for), he didn't use HDMI cables to hook up the DVR boxes (which I specifically asked for...twice!). We were on the phone with them all night. And then, we have to wait 2 more weeks to get another technician out there to do our Internet. I think they are the ones who screwed up and they should come back out today!
I want to post pictures of the house but B thinks I divulge too much information on my blog as it is. I'll get some up there but I will have to Photoshop my address and stuff out. Also...No more using B's full name and no more pics of him. I need to get a little more private on this thing! So, give me some time and I'll get you some photos!!
And I promise to be back to my commenting soon!

How exciting!! I agree with JLC - I can feel how happy you are from your writing! Love it!
My hubs thinks I give out too much info too but really? Who is going to read my blog that I am afraid of?... and if they do, I own a bat.
I'd love to see pics of the inside of your house, especially when you get it decorated. I like your decorating style...shabby chic?
My hubby is weird about when I post about our vacations. He thinks someone will find our house and break in.
Except I already know everything about you. I think I am going to stalk you now...
And about the white couch, that could be real bad with two dogs. But then again, I can't even handle a white purse. Or shirt.
hehehe, I remember that BBB story...that was a crazy night!
