I'm not usually one to find myself in a huff over a celebrity death, but I am strangely saddened by the passing of Nora Ephron. Nora Ephron is everything I wish I was as a writer and everything I am not. She is smart, witty and writes one heck of a New York love story.
She is responsible for some of my favorite movies and some of the most recognizable movie quotes. This is such a loss for women readers and those who are suckers for a New York based romcom.
I am convinced she is the reason Meg Ryan was once America's Sweetheart, she made Billy Crystal romantic and lovable rather than just aloof and funny, she made an "American Family" seem funny rather than sad, and she made me want to cook. A lot. She inspired writers and wanted women to be funny, brave and to...
"“Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim.”
Read this obituary printed in the New York Times. It's the best one I've found.
So, rest in peace, Nora. You will be missed...even by those who never knew you.

So sad she is gone. I loved her movies, especially When Harry Met Sally!
She was such a great writer! She'll be missed.
