I am so excited about so much. Yes, life has been hard but it is what we make it. I have decided in the last few weeks to quit working altogether. If you have read before, you would know that I have been working as a freelance writer and PR specialist for the last two years. I have decided that it has taken up too much of time and have decided to use my creative skills elsewhere!

New Look and Lainey's Birthday Part 2!

I am so excited about the new look of my blog! Thanks to the lovely Jenn at Munchkinland Designs for hooking me up big time!

Jenn was super patient with me when it took me almost 3 months to finally get my order going and never called me crazy once. At least not to my face. ;)

Lainey's Birthday Party Part 1

We celebrated Lainey's first birthday the weekend before her actual birthday. It was so much fun planning but I was so emotional. I could not believe that my teeny tiny baby was already one. 

I really wanted this day to be special, even though I know many will say that she won't remember. That's not what is important. What is important is that this little girl is the best thing to ever happen to me and I wanted a big celebration. 

We had her party at Joe's Crab Shack on the Sea Wall in Galveston. It, of course, poured rain the first hour of her You Are My Sunshine party, hence the frizzy hair, but it turned out to be a wonderful day.

Food. We had a wonderful selection of fish, shrimp, crab balls, french fries, onion rings, crab nachos, chicken tenders, cheese sticks and tons of dipping sauces!

She cheered the entire time. I was so worried she would hate the party but she enjoyed every single second of it!

We had more people turn up that I thought. It is so amazing to be witness to how many people love your child. It makes me feel so blessed that people came out in the monsoon of a storm to celebrate my baby.
